Happy New Year Fairfaxians!

What a great start to the new Year. It will be about 64 degrees tomorrow!! Hope all of you had a great holiday season. Looking for a fun activity for you and your kids this weekend? How about starting the New Year with Ice Skating. See details below:

Ice Skating in Fairfax? You bet! Saturday and Sunday, January 7 & 8, 2012

The Pavilion turns into an indoor ice skating rink, courtesy of the Parks & Recreation Commission. The synthetic ice rink is set up for young & old alike! Minimum age to skate is 5 years old. The event runs from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

Skating slots are in 30 minute increments, and the cost is $5 per session. Tickets will be available at the door. Skates are included in the price of the rental. For younger kids, a jumpee house will be on-site. Additionally, baked goods, popcorn, hot cocoa, coffee and other treats will be available for purchase. All proceeds go to fund the event.
