The Fairfax Town Council meets tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 7:00 p.m. at the Women's Club in Fairfax.
Note, the 7 p.m. start time is different than the previous start time of 7:30 p.m. On the agenda:
■Presentation regarding the possibility of Fairfax creating its own local currency.
■Presentation from Marin Sanitary on food composting and food waste recycling.
■Interview and appointments of one candidate to the Design Review Board and four candidates to the Planning Commission.
■Approve a letter for Council Member Larry Bragman to send to the Department of Justice urging stronger ADA protections for electromagnetically sensitive individuals.
■Second hearing and adoption of new building codes and new fire codes.
■Discuss and consider the establishment of a General Plan Implementation Committee.
■Discuss and consider guidelines for medical marijuana dispensaries.
■Discussion of reorganization of town staff.
